PHEV / EV AC Charging Limit ?
Your vehicle’s on-board charger (OBC) converts AC to DC electricity required to charge its battery. This enables you to charge your vehicle at home or anywhere using standard grid or solar AC electricity.
Your vehicle’s OBC rating determines the max AC charge rate:
- 7.4kW or less: Standard single phase AC charging
- 11kW or 22kW: Faster 3-Phase AC charging possible
Don’t confuse this with rapid DC Charging only available at public fast charging stations (Typically 50kW – 200kW)
